Spiritual Formation/Christian Education

Once we have been changed by God’s love for us, we want to learn more about who God is and how we are invited to be a part of God’s plan for justice in the world. We believe that process of learning is spiritual formation.
Because our believing affects our living, we are constantly on the journey of examining what we believe. Our community life is made up of discussion where we find that truth, confessing where we doubt, and affirming how we feel part of the story of God’s liberating love.

  • That’s why we’re committed to teaching our children and nurturing them in the faith of the community. On Sunday morning at 10am, this looks like Bible study and arts & crafts as our kids learn how to live.
  • That’s why we’re committed to teaching our youth and helping them to claim the faith story for themselves. This looks like Confirmation class as our kids choose how to live.
  • That’s why we’re committed to teaching adults – because we teach and learn together what it means to be people of faith making a difference in the world. This looks like Bible study, book study, and Sunday School as all of us hold one another accountable to living as God’s children.
